The alphaSyntauri synthesizer runs in an Apple][ host, using a pair of Mountain Computer Music System sound cards and a keyboard. Advanced for the early ‘80s before MIDI, the software allowed additive waveform synthesis by specifying the harmonic structure, drawing waveforms on screen with a light pen, or capturing sounds with a DX-1 digitizer.
